SA Pig Industry Day
Pork SA will hold its Annual Pig Industry Day on Friday 16th August 2024 at the Barossa Weintal, 235 Murray Street, Tanunda.
The Industry Day is supported by the SA Pig Industry Fund, Industry Partners and APL and will be a collaborative effort. The event will follow the same format as the successful 2023 event.
The day will commence at noon with lunch available in the trade display area. The seminar program will run from 1pm – 4pm, with a half hour tea break with industry partners. The Pork SA AGM will be held from 4pm. There will be a further opportunity to network with industry partners until 6pm with drinks and finger food available.

ProHand is a proven training program designed and tested on stockpeople at commercial farms around the world. It improves the interaction between the stockperson and pig by minimising handling stress, animal performance and welfare, and stockperson work motivation, performance, and job satisfaction.
The train the trainer workshop will be delivered by Scolexia and the Melbourne University Animal Welfare Science Centre, and are designed for those in industry who support or deliver on-farm training or for those who manage and lead farm staff.
NO COST - There is no charge to attend the Workshop thanks to support from the APL – registration is essential to attend.
